Bachelor of Pharmacy
A Bachelor of Pharmacy (abbreviated BPharm) is an undergraduate academic degree in the field of pharmacy. The degree is the basic prerequisite for registration to practice as a pharmacist.The Bachelor of Pharmacy degree is popularly known as B-Pharm in India. It is a four year program with both annual and semester schemes available. Colleges imparting pharmaceutical education (D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm or Pharm D) must be approved by All Indian Council of Technical Education (AICTE) or Pharmacy Council Of India (PCI). RBVRR College of Pharmacy has approval from AICTE.

A candidate for admission must have passed the Intermediate examination of the Andhra Pradesh State Board of Intermediate Education with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Biology as optional subjects or any other examination recognized by the Osmania University as equivalent thereto.
All the eligible applicants will have to pass the Entrance Examination conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance Examination keeping in view of the rules in force regarding the reservation of seats to various categories of candidates.

The normal duration of the course is four years. The first academic year comprises of 30 weeks of minimum instructions. Each of the subsequent three academic years is divided into two semesters referred to as the I and II semester in chronological order. Each semester comprises of 15 weeks of minimum instructions.
In Andhra Pradesh, for admission to the professional course like , B.Tech, B.Sc (Agri), B.D.S., B.Pharm, the Govt. of A.P., conducts an entrance exam called EAMCET every year in the month of April/May.
The students are given ranking based on the marks obtained in the test. Admissions are conducted in a systematic manner by means of counseling based on the rank by convener EAMCET.
This opportunity is given to the student to choose the course and college. 70% of seats are filled through the EAMCET rank. 30% seats are filled by the management based on the merit at Intermediate.

Usually the admissions by the EAMCET convener start in July/August and end by Oct/Nov. every year by announcing the schedule in the leading newspapers. After the counseling is over, they fix last day for spot admission at college level for left over seats. This will be usually in November every year.
Under management quota there will be lot of enquiries. All these enquires are registered formally. Date is fixed for admission after the announcement of the EAMCET results and communicated to all those registrants and admissions are given on the basis of marks at the Intermediate level for the candidates present on that day. Last date for management quota is also the same as for spot admissions. Generally the management quota seats are filled early.
On completion of the degree and intern year, graduates can work in:

- hospital pharmacy
- pharmaceutical industry—science, quality control, sales, marketing, management
- bio-pharmaceutical industry
- clinical trials administration
- drug information agencies
- drug regulation for government or companies
- pharmacy academia
- medical research
- medical writing.
