About Us

RBVRR Women’s College of Pharmacy was established in the year 2006 under “Hyderabad Mahila Vidya Sangham” to provide education to women students. The college is self-financed, approved by PCI, AICTE and is affiliated to Osmania University, accredited by NBA for B.Pharmacy Course with an objective to nurture the pharmacy education and to support the healthcare system through skilled Women Pharmacy graduates.

Our institution is one of the leading institutions which have taken a leap forward in the quality professional education. The credit goes to outstanding reputation and dedication of our educational society (HMVS) complimented by the services of highly competent staff under the able guidance and leadership of the head of the institution, since its inception. This institution has emerged as a unique centre of academic excellence of higher learning in the field of pharmacy. All the efforts are focused to provide a congenial environment to educate and train girl students into competent professionals and mould them into confident women to succeed in their lives both personally and professionally which helps in fulfillment of vision of the college. The college is footing with achievements like “Recognition as Research Centre” by Osmania University, has Certified “Institute Innovation Council” jointly by AICTE and MHRD.

The college axis is to prepare a girl student to be a competent professional leader in multi domains by providing excellent infrastructure like well equipped and fully ventilated class rooms, state of the art laboratories, well nourished library including digital one with good collection of books, e-books, journals and e-journals to lucre fundamental and advanced knowledge to compete to the real world . Students receive hands-on expertise on sophisticated instruments like HPLC, FTIR-spectrophotometer. In this 14 years of standing period, the institute has created its own identity by adopting innovative practices The phenomenal academic achievements of our students have always added glory to the college.

The college has a tradition of excelling in Sports and extracurricular activities, in which our students continue to bring us laurels. The success in all spheres is the combined product of all our little efforts- the contribution of highly qualified, dynamic and multi-talented faculty, non-teaching staff and our students. Our teachers aim at providing high quality educational experience to the students in the form of debates, group discussions, workshops, symposia, seminars and cultural competitions. Eminent personalities are invited from all walks of life to address our students and expose them to new ideas and thoughts.

Strengths of the College

The institution is equipped with modernized pedagogy and excellent infrastructure, which is upgraded periodically. We are leading on co-curricular and extra-curricular fronts, industrial visits, training workshops and projects for multidimensional growth of the students.

Faculty: Institute has highly qualified and experienced faculty with sound academic and industrial background. Faculty members are actively involved in research activities and have published more than 200 research papers in reputed international journals. The faculty student ratio is as per norms.

Quality Education and Research: The institute has “Recognition as Research Centre” by Osmania University and Certified as “Institute Innovation Council” jointly by AICTE and MHRD, accredited by NBA and affiliated to Osmania University. This has helped the institute in upgrading the educational qualification by giving opportunity to faculty members to pursue their research interests. The inclination of institution towards research is highlighted by the subscription of e journals from publishers of Science Direct.

Infrastructure of the Institute: The institute has spacious and ventilated ICT enabled classrooms and laboratories equipped with sophisticated instruments HPLC, FTIR, etc., rich library, well equipped computer laboratory as well as computers in staff rooms with internet connection. The institute has animal house duly registered with CPCSEA.

Faculty Development and Improvement Initiatives: The Institution is well equipped with industrial-scale heavy machinery and sophisticated equipments to cater the basic facilities for the faculty to pursue Ph.D. The faculties are devoted to research work, publish and present papers at symposia, various national and international conferences.

Faculty members are involved in continuous upgradation by participating in FDP’s, QIP’s and online training sessions on pedagogy, ICT enabled teaching practices etc.

Research Activities: The institute has made collaborations tie-up with Pharmaceutical Industries & Hospitals.

The faculties are sanctioned with their respective research projects by various funding agencies viz., AICTE, DST, DBT, UGC etc.

The institution has been offering consultancy services for academia and industry by rendering support in formulation and development of dosage forms and drug delivery systems, novel synthesis, molecular docking, pharmacological activities etc.

The faculties have expertise knowledge on preparation of relevant regulatory dossiers to healthcare authorities.

Student support systems: Ragging free campus. Extracurricular and Curricular activities for like Journal club, Pharma fests, sports week, national level quiz competition etc. for their overall development.

Training and Placement Activities: The institute has active Training and Placement cell to bridge the gap between industry and institute.
