Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) – Constitution
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at RBVRR Women’s College of Pharmacy (RBVRRWCP) was established in February 2018 under the guidelines of AICTE. The primary objective of the cell is to foster entrepreneurial skills among students and encourage them to explore self-employment as a viable and rewarding career option. Entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in the industrialization and economic development of a nation. Recognizing this, RBVRRWCP strongly believes that education is incomplete without exposure to entrepreneurial opportunities. The EDC was therefore constituted with a dedicated team of experienced faculty members with industry exposure, along with student representatives, to actively promote innovation and entrepreneurship within the institution. The cell focuses on grooming aspiring pharmacy entrepreneurs by providing essential knowledge and practical insights through workshops, seminars, and interactions with industry experts. Through structured training programs and activities, students are equipped with the skills required to transform innovative ideas into successful business ventures.
ORIGIN OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL
Educational institutions play a vital role in shaping the economic future of a country by producing skilled human resources. Both technical and non-technical higher education institutions are especially important as they supply the workforce required by various industries. To effectively utilize the expertise, innovation, and infrastructure available in these institutions, it is essential to establish strong linkages between academia and industry. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell serves as a platform to bridge this gap, facilitating interaction between students and industry professionals. It aims to nurture entrepreneurial talent and contribute to the development of future entrepreneurs who can drive economic growth.
